Live Video Delay Replay System

Overview

The Live Video Delay Replay System captures training live and displays the footage after a configurable delay. It works in both poolside and dry-dive environments, allowing athletes to complete a movement and then review it while the technique is still fresh in their memory.

Open Source

Following successful development and extensive testing, we have made the software open source. Explore the project on GitHub and deploy a system that meets your training requirements.

The open-source approach gives clubs and training programmes the flexibility to source compatible screens, Ethernet equipment, and cameras locally. This makes it easier to select components that suit their budget, lighting, and facility layout while benefiting from accessible local installation, maintenance, and technical support.

Hardware and Configuration on Request

For organisations that prefer a ready-to-use solution, we can still build and configure the hardware on request. Whether you deploy the open-source software independently or commission a fully assembled system, we can tailor the solution to your facility and training requirements.

Key Features

Live Capture with Delayed Playback

High-speed video capture with delayed replay gives coaches and athletes a clear view of each movement without requiring someone to operate the playback. The delay can support repeated practice at the pool or in a dry-dive training area.

Poolside and Dry-Dive Training

The system supports technical review of poolside dives as well as dry-dive exercises. Facilities can configure the cameras, display, and replay positions to suit their training space.

Flexible, Locally Sourced Hardware

Because the software is open source, programmes can source compatible screens, Ethernet equipment, and cameras from local suppliers. This provides greater choice, simplifies replacement and maintenance, and makes local technical support easier to access.

Hardware Built for Training Environments

Where hardware is supplied or configured by us, the system typically includes: Cameras suited to varied indoor and outdoor lighting; A control unit suitable for poolside and dry-dive environments; Robust mounting options for different facility configurations; A portable layout for easy movement between training areas or facilities.

Operational Simplicity

The system is designed for straightforward daily use: It starts automatically as soon as it is powered on; It can be switched off directly at the mains supply; No additional setup or configuration is required during normal operation. This makes it ideal for busy training environments where coaches need dependable technology that works immediately.

Privacy, Security, and Compliance

The Live Video Delay Replay System has been engineered with data protection and safeguarding in mind. Bluetooth can be disabled. Wi-Fi is optional and used only for network access: either to join an existing venue network or to provide an isolated access point for one authenticated tablet or browser client to use replay and system settings. The primary camera and coach display connections remain wired through Ethernet and HDMI. The control unit can also be sealed and protected with security stickers to help prevent unauthorised access.

Training Benefits

The system enhances training by: Delivering delayed visual feedback while the movement is fresh in memory; Allowing athletes to review poolside and dry-dive exercises; Helping coaches highlight technical details; Supporting rapid corrections and more consistent skill development.

Setup and Support

We can provide installation assistance, training for coaching staff, and technical support on request. Systems may be customised to suit the layout and requirements of each facility. A large monitor with HDMI in portrait orientation is typically required. Clubs should consider humidity levels, electrical safety, and local mains voltage when choosing where to install the display.

Warranty Terms

Where we supply hardware, products are provided with a twelve-month warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship. If a fault is suspected, the customer must return the item to us at their own expense for assessment. After inspection, we will advise whether the issue is covered by the warranty. If the fault is not covered, the customer will be responsible for the cost of repair and any associated return shipping. This warranty is offered in addition to all statutory rights applicable to customers in the United Kingdom and the European Union.

A display monitor is not included unless specifically agreed as part of a separate project quotation.
