Live Video Delay Replay System – Feedback for Poolside and Dry-Dive Training The Live Video Delay Replay System captures training live and displays the footage after a configurable delay. It can be used for both poolside diving and dry-dive training, allowing athletes to complete a movement and then review it without a coach having to operate the replay. Open source Following successful development and extensive testing, we have made the software open source. Explore the code and deploy your own system through GitHub: https://github.com/EmersonWarwick/live-video-delay-replay-system The open-source approach gives clubs and training programmes the flexibility to source compatible screens, Ethernet equipment, and cameras locally. This makes it easier to select components that suit their budget, lighting, and facility layout while benefiting from accessible local installation, maintenance, and technical support. Hardware and configuration on request For organisations that prefer a ready-to-use solution, we can still build and configure the hardware on request. Whether you deploy the open-source software independently or commission a fully assembled system, we can tailor the solution to your facility and training requirements. What it does: - Captures live video and plays it back after a set delay. - Supports poolside dives and dry-dive exercises. - Provides feedback while the movement is still fresh in the athlete’s memory. - Enables repeated training and review with minimal manual operation. Hardware and setup: - Screens, Ethernet equipment, and cameras can be sourced from local suppliers. - Flexible camera options suited to indoor and outdoor lighting conditions. - A control unit suitable for poolside and dry-dive training environments. - Robust mounting and portable layout options for different facility configurations. - Simple daily operation: starts automatically when powered on and can be shut down at the mains, with no extra configuration required during normal use. Privacy, security, and compliance: - No images or videos are permanently stored on the system. - Bluetooth can be disabled. - Wi‑Fi is optional and used only for network access: either to join an existing venue network or to provide an isolated access point for one authenticated tablet or browser client to use replay and system settings. - The primary camera and coach display connections remain wired through Ethernet and HDMI. - The control unit is sealed and protected to prevent unauthorised access. - Footage is temporary and local to live playback only. Training benefits: - Delivers delayed visual feedback for divers, athletes, and coaches. - Supports rapid corrections and more consistent technical development. - Supports technique review at the pool and in dry-dive training areas. Installation and support: - Installation assistance, staff training, and technical support available on request. - Systems can be tailored to each facility’s layout, considering humidity, electrical safety, and local mains voltage.
